We can also use microneedling on the body in places such as the abdomen, where we can reduce the appearance of stretch marks and tighten the skin post-pregnancy or weight loss. It can also be used on the knees to tighten the skin, the back of the neck for acne scarring, and the back of the legs for stretch marks.
For all microneedling treatments, we apply topical numbing cream to the area and allow adequate time to ensure each client is comfortable. Microneedling is not typically a painful treatment, but some areas can be more sensitive. If a client has a low pain threshold, we can leave the numbing cream on for longer.
Each client will undergo microneedling to treat different areas and for different reasons. Typically, for scarring, 4-6 sessions are recommended with a 6-week wait time between each session.
